Now advertisers can use phone numbers and e-mail clients for targeting advertising in Google AdWords. This allows marketers
, who do not have e-mails of customers, to find and advertise their ads on them.
Google will search for already downloaded e-mails and numbers in its database, and after that, in case of a match, will tie all the data indicated by the marketer to the e-mail entered at registration. Later, brands will be able to customize the search results for users found in Google AdWords.
This practice already works in many other advertising systems. Experts believe that Google introduced a new targeting only now because of control by government agencies.
